Co‑operatives UK member Signalise successfully applied to The Co‑operative Bank’s Customer Donation Fund. Signalise is a digital platform connecting Deaf people and British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters in healthcare settings. The fund helped them invest in community outreach programmes and face-to-face events to increase engagement and membership.
“We are very grateful for the funding provided by the Bank’s Customer Donation Fund,” said Jen Bird, Business and Development Manager at Signalise. “It will enable us to host more community events with our members, improve awareness and ultimately grow as a co-operative.”
To date, the Customer Donation Fund has donated over £1.1 million to more than 1,300 community projects across the UK since 2003.
